Nightingales Newsletter #70
Priors Meads Tropical Summer Party was a great success! Thank you to all those who attended, and a huge Thank You to the Team for their hard work and big smiles all day. We enjoyed an Acoustic Steel Band, lots of Tropical Decor and some Caribbean inspired food and cocktails. Another big Thank You to our Photographer, Sara, who will sort out the photos and send them to us in due course, and we will of course pass them on to you. We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!
We enjoyed some mostly bright days during August & September, so we made the most of them by going on several Outings including; Priory Farm Garden Centre, Earlswood Lakes and The Dog & Duck Pub.
Anthony, our guitar-playing singer, entertained us whilst we enjoyed a BBQ in our lovely garden – some of our residents even had a dance!
Wednesday Pamper Days have been a huge hit with our residents enjoying having their hair done, soaking their feet in our foot spas and having a manicure or a hand massage.
Priors Mead ‘Sports Day’ was a bit of healthy, competitive fun! We played a combination of; Skittles, Croquet, Ball throwing/kicking, Skee Ball and Ring-Toss. Well done! Our residents then enjoyed a well-earned ice cream from the ice cream van.
We had a fabulous time making and decorating cakes for the MacMillan Coffee Morning in September. What a glorious afternoon it was in the garden, eating cakes with a cuppa – bliss!
Our Italian Night was enjoyed by all!! We tucked into delicious Homemade Pizza with all the toppings!! (Best Italian accent please) – Justa like Mama used to make!!
What an absolutely creative time we had arranging vases of beautiful fresh flowers to add fragrance and colour to our home!
We also Celebrated some Birthdays recently where cake was enjoyed by everyone!!
Please note, as promised, the email address to reach both Kelly and Tenniece if you’re ever in doubt as to who is in the office is; priors.mead.manager@nightingales.co.uk Thank You!
