Priors Mead Care Home Reviews

I have had the pleasure of visiting Priors Mead on many occasions and spent time with the residents there. Aside from the warm, homely and ever-welcoming atmosphere, the outstanding commitment by the staff to provide respectful, kind and genuinely caring support is always visible. Everyone is treated with gentleness and patience but most importantly, given time, listened to and never patronised. The recent Summer Fayre was a perfect example of the staff 'going the extra mile' for not only the residents but also their friends and family. It was a superbly organised day with delicious food, lots of treats and fun for all. Priors Mead is simply a lovely place to live and visit and I would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone wanting a small care home where their loved ones will be welcomed and cared for as family.

We visited up to twenty homes before selecting Priors Mead. Yours was the only one in which we both felt comfortable, and how we have been proved right. Mum could not have received a better level of tender and loving care anywhere else, your staff have become part of the family.

My mother went to Priors Mead for a trial period but she liked it so much that she stayed until her passing. She always said it was like a 5 star hotel (my mother was very particular). She liked the food together with all the activities and interests the home provided.

Mum was very comfortable at Priors Mead and thanks to all the staff for making her so comfortable. The experience for all of us was first class, including the ease and efficiency of booking her in/settling invoices.

Although reluctant to go into a home when Mum came for respite, within 2 or 3 days she knew she wanted to stay. I know she felt ‘at home’ with you rather than being in a home! You are such wonderful, caring people and you create a lovely atmosphere.

We would very much like to thank you all for the love and care you have given our Mum over the last 5 years. From her first day at Priors Mead we never had to worry about her welfare and we couldn’t have asked for better care for her.

We cannot praise the quality of care enough. There is a homely, welcoming atmosphere where staff, residents and relatives are so friendly, like one large family. There is also a high standard of professionalism where everyone is treated individually and with respect.

We have nothing but love and deep gratitude to all the girls and yourself for the way Mum was loved and cared for at Priors Mead.

So good to hear that Priors Mead is still the same. My mum was there 7 years ago and the care, love etc., was very good. Please never alter Priors Mead!!

The staff are friendly, polite, hard-working and professional at all times. They are attentive and make sure that residents have what they need. Residents are treated with respect, patience and understanding. The staff chat to the residents and show genuine interest in their lives. The affection that they feel towards the residents is evident in their smiling faces.
