We are convinced that one of the reasons behind our vibrant community atmosphere is the way we treat mealtimes. It could be because we actively encourage guests and families to join us. Or it could be the excellent menu choices, and complimentary wine. Either way you’ll find good food and good company at the centre of Priors Mead life.

There is increasing evidence that a balanced and varied “Mediterranean style” diet plays a significant role in preventing heart disease, dementia and some cancers. That’s why we make sure our menus include plenty of fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, nuts, beans, olive oil and fish.

Don’t just take our word for it

We really do focus everything we do around our clients, but don’t take our word for it. Come and see for yourself and then chat in confidence with our clients’ relatives to find out what we are really like.

Example Lunch Menu

Mains:

Balsamic Pork
Pork loins marinated in olive oil, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard.

Italian fish & garlic tomatoes.
Cod fillet wrapped in prosciutto and stuffed with green pesto sauce

Lemon and dill chicken
Greek-inspired lemon and dill sauce with sautéed chicken breasts.

Moroccan lamb pan fry
Lamb shoulder cooked in mixed herbs, onions, olive oil and pine nuts.

Mediterranean chicken tray bake
Chicken breasts cooked on a bed of peppers and black olives with garlic and herb soft cheese.

Creamy chicken & mushroom piccata
Chicken cubes cooked in white wine, mushrooms and garlic. Served with optional pasta.

Desserts:

Chocolate and orange tart with a caramel dressing.

Baked alaska

Plum clafitous with your choice of cream or ice cream.

Tiramisu

Baileys banana trifle

Lemon sponge pudding with vanilla custard.
