When it comes to paying for your care, we realise that the last thing you need is any uncertainty as to what the bill will be. Our prices are therefore designed to be fair, transparent and predictable to ensure no hidden surprises.
Many care homes have two prices lists, one for State-funded clients and a more expensive one for private clients. We do not feel this is fair for private clients to subsidise others in this way, and means that the overall level of service is less than it could be. We ensure our prices are both fair and transparent by publishing our fees and guaranteeing that all clients pay on the same basis.
To ensure our prices are predictable too, we also guarantee to keep fees in line with the Consumer Price Index, regardless of whether your needs change, except for under exceptional circumstances.
There are also no hidden extras. With the exception of personal items, everything you would expect is included, plus a few you may not such as outings, activities and complimentary wine and sherry.

Terms and Conditions
We appreciate that the transition to care can be overwhelming and so are happy to be flexible as to when application forms and other paperwork are completed. However, we are unfortunately unable to accept clients until our Terms & Conditions have been signed in full.
Short-Term Care Charges
It can be helpful for new clients to first come in to the home on a short-term basis to both give them time to get to know us and settle before they make a long-term commitment. As this involves additional administration costs and changeover days when rooms may be empty, this is subject to a 10% surcharge over our permanent fees.
Payment in Advance
Our initial invoice is payable within seven days as we appreciate the transition to care can often happen at short notice. After this period all fees are payable in advance by standing order.
For permanent clients a four-week deposit is payable. All clients are charged on a short-term basis until the deposit is received, and which is refunded in full when the room is cleared at the end of residence less any outstanding charges.
In view of the impact late payments have on our cash flow and administration workload we charge interest on outstanding balances. Our current late payment interest rate is 5% over Bank of England Base Rate.
Direct-dial telephones are available in every room for an additional cost of £15 per month including unlimited calls to all non-premium UK landline numbers.
What Our Charges Include
All rooms are fully furnished although we will be delighted to accommodate any personal furniture or pictures you may care to bring. Our maintenance staff will also be happy to make any alterations to the room’s layout to suit your tastes and preferences. Prices are per room, per week, and include all meals, personal care, entertainment, activities, laundry etc.
Certain rooms are available for double occupancy for friends or couples at a 33.3% surcharge.
Monthly Account for Extras
All residents are offered a complimentary monthly account facility to charge any personal items bought on their behalf to.
