December 2018 News
A Warm Welcome
We would like to say a big welcome to our new volunteers Emily, Lilly and Charlotte from Dunottar school who are participating in their Duke of Edinburgh awards. We hope you will be very happy working amongst the Priors Mead family. We would also like to welcome our Little Ray of Sunshine crew who i am sure many of you have seen over the past few weeks. The children come and visit on a Tuesday morning and enjoy activities with our residents. Each week is a different theme; music, crafts, baking, bubbles and wrapped up with a sing-a-long – so far this has proved most successful and we have had some really lovely sessions and a lot of smiles by both young and old!
Unfortunately we say farewell to our chiropodist Alex after many years of visiting. However you will be pleased to know her colleague Paula will be taking over and Alex has introduced her to her clients here at Priors Mead ahead of the change!
Improvements
I am sure many of you have already noticed the new look at Priors Mead and will agree that the staff look fantastic in their new uniforms.
Feedback
We would like to say a special thank you to everyone who took part in the Customer Survey last month. Your feedback is always appreciated and we promise that we do always listen very carefully to any comments or suggestions as to how we might improve.
In fact positive customer reviews and good online ratings increasingly play a key part in helping us come to the attention of potential clients, and so are always valued by us. However, we recognise how valuable your time is so we are offering a bottle of wine to all online reviewers that take the time to share their opinion with us. These can be posted at www.carehome.co.uk
We are still collecting stamps (new/old and UK/overseas) for the Air Ambulance. I am sure we can all get involved and start collecting for this worthy charity. Please do drop them off the next time you pop in for a visit.
We now have our facebook page which we would like to encourage you all to go on and share the ‘Priors Mead News’ so if you haven’t already do like our Facebook page!
Activities
In the spirit of giving; throughout December we will be collecting donations of long-life food items to contribute to our local Food Bank. if you would like to contribute to this good cause, please let us have your donations by week commencing 17th December. Many thanks.
