Technology frees-up important time for carers and brings families closer
Nightingales care team is significantly reducing its administration time using voice-recognition technology to record home visit reports.
The software is able to translate voice recordings straight into word format. Reports are easily customised and shared with team members. Joanna Nykiel a Nightingales’ director said, “Now all our carers are equipped with tablet-technology we were keen to explore how we could reduce their administration time. The great benefit is that it frees our team up to spend more quality time with those we are looking after. We are soon to be trialling App-based software with some our clients’ families so they can log-in remotely, check on their family member’s progress, see reports, photos and also send and receive messages via their smart phones. We believe it will be a valuable way of keeping families up-to-date and feeling more connected with their loved ones.
